Mega Levels
Win condition: Clear all 8 harder Mega variants, then beat the Mega Level 8 Spike Tank finale. Boss: Spike Tank (Mega Level 8).
Mega Level 8 — the Spike Tank finale that throws every boss at you.
How to beat it
- Beat Story Mode first. Mega Levels are remixed, harder versions of the campaign, and the game expects you to know the maps before you try them.
- Coast through Mega Level 1 and 2 — they're the easy warm-ups.
- Buy more weapons before Mega Level 3 and up. Base ammo stops cutting it; this is the wall where unupgraded players stall.
- Push through to Mega Level 8, the finale that stacks every previous boss together.
Boss strategy: Spike Tank (Mega Level 8)
- Mega Level 8 ('The End') throws Dark Bean A, the Destroyer mini-boss, and the Spike Tank boss at you back-to-back.
- Shoot the armor tanker — that's the core of clearing the finale. Focus the Spike Tank down whenever it's the active threat.
- Treat it as a gauntlet: clear adds, survive the Destroyer, then dump your strongest ammo into the Spike Tank.
Tips
- The Beam Splitter Laser and Fire Bomb are the reviewer-favorite picks for Mega Levels — most expensive, but they make the late Megas doable.
- There are 8 Mega Levels total (Mega 1–8). Don't expect new story; expect the same fights cranked up.
